Sebastian Seung, a world-renowned neuroscience-based AI expert, is the Head of Samsung Research, the advanced research & development hub of Samsung’s Consumer Electronics (CE) Division and IT & Mobile Communications (IM) Division. Under his leadership, Samsung Research develops future innovative technology and identifies new growth possibilities for Samsung Electronics through a global effort spanning 15 R&D centers and 7 AI centers worldwide. Samsung Research's main focus is Artificial Intelligence, data intelligence, next generation communication/media, robot, security, Tizen etc. but is constantly expanding its research areas to new fields to realize a new lifestyle based on AI technologies.

As the current Samsung Research technical strategy team lead, Seung-beom Choi plays a pivotal role in steering Samsung Electronics as a Technologies driven company. Since 2017, Samsung Research has been conitnuously discovering and expanding core research fields in Artificial Intelligence, next generation communications, robot, big data, security etc, on top of a strong and long standing foundation of research. In addition to leading the creation of new business opportunities for Samsung Electronics, he is constantly spearheading the discovery of new technical themes and procuring technical leaderships for the sole purpose of technical innovation.

Executive Director | Linux Foundation
Jim is currently Executive Director of the Linux Foundation that promotes innovation through open source and Linux as well as supporting cooperation between global enterprises. His work at the company-neutral Linux Foundation gave him a unique and comprehensive view of the world's technological trends, and he contributes to leading technical journals such as Businessweek and Wired in recognition of his far reaching insight to the changing economic environment of the technology industry. As well as regularly participating as a keynote speaker at industry events, he is also a Board member at the Global Economic Symposium, Open Source For America, and Chinese Open Source Promotion Union.

Danese Cooper

Danese Cooper has been an outspoken Free and Open Source Software activist for more than 20 years. Over that time she has consistently worked for the health and welfare of the FOSS movement at jobs such as CTO of Wikipedia, Chief Open Source Evangelist for Sun, Senior Director of Open Source Strategy for Intel, and Board Member with the Drupal Association, the Open Hardware Foundation and the Open Source Initiative. Five years ago while running PayPal's OSPO, Danese started thinking, talking, and writing about InnerSource as the logical next step to sustain the FOSS movement. Today Danese works at NearForm, Ltd., an Irish software consultancy specializing in capability building for companies looking to modernize their practices.

Myoungsoo Jung
Associate Professor | KAIST
Dr. Myoungsoo Jung is an Associate Professor at KAIST and the lead of CAMEL (http://camelab.org). Dr. Jung has many years of industry experience, several industrial U.S. patents related to multi-channel SSDs, and approximately a hundred research papers regarding SSD flash firmware and kernel-level file systems (mainly published OSDI, ISCA, MICRO, ASPLOS, FAST, and HPCA). His research has been nominated as the best paper from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers/Association for Computing Machinery (IEEE/ACM) Internal Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis 2013 (SC'13). He received core grant awards from National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Energy (DOE), National Research Foundation (NRF), and achieved the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Award (LBNL) of Excellence. His current research interests include coprocessor architecture (e.g., MIC/GPU), AI accelerators, advanced computer architecture, and operating systems on emerging non-volatile memory and solid-state drive technologies.

Dong-yun Jung is currently a student at Chadwick International School. He is the recipient of the 2018 Samsung Junior Software Creation Contest grand award for developing the 'Happy Traveler' app that elevates the joy of travelling and helps reduce the accompanying discomforts. He dreams of becoming an innovate entrepreneur that provides positive contributions to society through various platforms.

Dong-hyun Hwang
soowol Middle School | Winner of the Samsung Junior Software Creation Contest
Dong-hyun Hwang is currently a freshman in Soowol Middle school. As an elementary student back in 2019, who enjoys reading, he took upon himself to see if he could help enable people to navigate libraries easier and developed 'Book Navi' which later became the recipient of the 2019 Samsung Junior Software Creation Content grand award winner. He didn't stop there and is continuously studying to help solve more societal issues and is currently in progress of participating in the 2020 Samsung Junior Software Creation Contest.
